PLOT SUMMARY: This is the story of a young professional woman, that has built a modest but comfortable lifestyle from and around her career. A lifestyle that is relatively plain and uneventful, but meticulously routine…Exactly the way she likes it. Everything changes when she’s laid off, pushing her out of that comfort zone, and into uncertainty and unfamiliarity. Something “DIFFERENT.” As she adjusts to the changes in her life, she is taken on a journey of introspection and realization. With the help of her free spirited friend, and former co-worker that was also laid off, she realizes that her obsession with routine and regularity, has led her to become the complete opposite of who she THOUGHT she was…plain, routine and fearful of change. She slowly comes to terms with her new situation, and realizes that she has a choice: resist the inevitable nature of change, possibly blindsiding herself from new opportunities, or embrace it, welcome it and adapt. She ultimately learns that “There’s always SOMETHING to gain from change.”

TASHA PHILIPS-African American professional woman in her late 20’s. College educated, intelligent and methodical. She likes routine and tidiness, but isn’t uptight. With people she’s familiar with she’s social and outgoing, but just cordial with otherwise strangers. She likes her life the way it is. Nothing too new or drastic, nothing too mundane or boring. She does feel stagnant, but not enough to want to change.
RACHEL-Early to mid 30’s. College educated as well(no ethnic preference). A free spirit. Always wears a smile, extremely outgoing and has encouraging words for just about anybody. Very intelligent, but people that don’t know her often underestimate her because of her sometimes silly and “free” personality. She has a dark past, but has made significant changes in her life so that it stays ONLY in the past.
