LOGLINE:

The film chronicles several families in Red Hook, Brooklyn, and the challenges they face as their lives change due to the changing landscape of their neighborhood.

ROLES:

KOLO TRAVEILLE (8)
African American Female
Seeking an actress at least 9 years old. Vivacious and sassy 8-year old girl with lots of personality and a sense of humor. KOLO wants to be mature but is very much a child. At times she is manipulative and exhibits a hard edge, due to her single parent upbringing in Red Hook. At her core she craves love and stability. Co-lead of the film.

BOB/ROBERT/BILL (early 20s – late 40s)
Open Ethnicity Male
Works in a science lab

KEVIN (late 30s – late 40s)
Open Ethnicity Male
Works at McDonalds. A kind man broken down by life. Although life has not been kind to him, but he is not bitter or vengeful. He is very kind. A bit awkward when it comes to dealing with others.

MARTHA STOKELY (late 50s – late 60s)
Caucasian / Fluent French Female
Divorced long ago, but dealing with the death of her ex-husband. Also dealing with the closing of her late ex-husband’s business.

OSCAR MOORE (50s – early 60s)
African American Male
A simple man who keeps whatever is stressing him out to himself. OSCAR is a sensitive man who is deeply affected by the loss of his dog. Recovering heroine addict on the verge of relapse. War veteran.

EVA MOORE (50s)
African American Female
Back-up singer very happy with her job and her life. A true nurturer, motherly and maternal.

JAY (early 20s to early 30s)

A young father or mother who hangs out on the corner

VIC/MO (60s)

Broke army vets begging for money.
