Casting Call for Short Film “Other Cells” [Los Angeles] #casting

KW Films is casting “Other Cells,” a dramatic short about sexual politics in prison. This film is being made by a mix of artists from other mediums and some seasoned film professionals. The subject matter and visuals will be striking and stand out from typical low budget festival fare. It will be challenging and potentially controversial and is not for the squeamish or easily offended.

Rehearsals start in March. Shoots April-June in California.

Seeking–

Two Spirit/Third Sex/Hermaphrodite: male or female, late teens-early 40s to play 25-35, Native American or other ethnicity that can pass for Native American. Beautiful, dark, lean, androgynous, mysterious, dignified, defiant of the law. His/her ambiguous allure disrupts the fragile power balance in a men’s penitentiary; LEAD. Note: Full nudity and simulated sex required.

Sikh: male, 25-45, East Indian or other ethnicity that can pass for East Indian. Tall, muscular, with long beard and mustache, wears turban, intense but reserved, a commanding presence in the prison. Leader of the small group of ethnic minorities that make up a clique of non-Caucasians, African-Americans, and Hispanics.
