Posted June 24, 2013

PROJECT TITLE: Untitled
CLASSIFICATION: Independent
STATUS: Non-Union
CATEGORY: Short Film
FORMAT: HD
DISTRIBUTION: Director reel
SHOOTING LOCATION: Boston, MA

SYNOPSIS:

Seeking actors open to working collaboratively with a Boston-based filmmaker on the development of characters for a series of short films.

Union and non-union actors of all ages and types are invited to attend initial screen tests in early July. I will provide some material for audition, discussion, and improvisation–actors are also welcome, though not required, to prepare a brief audition piece of their own.

If selected, actors will be needed for ongoing workshop sessions throughout July and early August, and will be featured in one or more short films based on shooting scripts that emerge from these workshops.

An excellent opportunity for actors looking to explore their ranges and experiment with techniques of acting for the camera. Possible styles/genres may include high comedy, psychological suspense, poetic realism, and magic realism.

Actors will receive credit and material for their reels; though there is no budget for compensation, I am interested in building long-term partnerships with actors and may be able to provide compensation for future projects.
